Landi est jeune, il a un emploi bien rémunéré dans une grande banque à
Tirana où il vient de finir de payer sa première maison.
Son rêve serait de devenir par la suite directeur de banque.
Le désir de s'élever professionnellement le fait atterrir à Tropoja,
une région montagneuse isolée d'Albanie
où il se retrouve accidentellement dans le lit de la fille de son hôte.
Pour respecter des traditions ancestrales, ils doivent obligatoirement
se marier.
Pour annuler ce mariage, le plan secret est de faire intervenir
d'étranges beaux-parents
ainsi que la petite amie de Landi qui est une «influenceuse» un peu
"fofolle" sur les bords.
"I Love Tropoja" "J'aime Tropoja" est un film qui aborde avec humour
des questions sensibles, telles que les droits des femmes, les mariages arrangés ainsi que le patriarcat dans les Balkans et en
Europe de l'Est.
Cela donne une comédie romantique hilarante et turbulente qui touche
et fait réfléchir les spectateurs. L'acteur principal
est le célèbre acteur, animateur de télévision, chanteur et producteur
de films albanais Ermal Mamaqi.
Un des rôles féminins principaux est la pop star Enca Haxhia, qui est
célèbre en Albanie, dans les Balkans et au Moyen-Orient,elle a également un large public en Suisse. Le Premier ministre
albanais Edi Rama apparaît lui aussi dans une prestation surprise.
